I purchased the half chaps to wear with my brown paddock boots. They are a perfect match and look very professional for schooling horses and riding lessons. Leather is supple and conforms to my leg nicely. Because these are unisex, it took me three tries to get my size. The extra small are a perfect fit and I get many compliments on them.

I've bought a few pairs of these over the years. A pair lasts wearing them 3x weekly for a year, I would say. They run big so I'd advise buying a size down. They are stretchy for people like me who have big calves yet short legs.

I have a hard time finding half chaps that fit a short adult, and these are great. They are comfortable and fit over both winter and summer boots. After a year of weekly rides, the thread has worn away where my leg is in contact with the saddle or horse. Fortunately for me I have a machine that can re stitch them. Would be 5 star if they used a heavier, more abrasion resistant thread.I take the XS and wear a regular width short womens 6.5 in Ariat tall boots. Note size chart is actual chap length, not from floor.
